Introduction

After hearing all the hype about Microsoft's new service Office Live (currently a Beta product and awaiting launch in the UK) I managed to land myself an invitation. It would appear that being one of the people who signed up to Gmail prior to their court battle (see extract below) I managed to aquire a username@gmail.com address.

"We have been involved in a dispute regarding the Gmail trademark in the UK. Another company has claimed rights to the Gmail name. We have tried to resolve this dispute through negotiations, but our efforts have failed."

This meant that to all intents and purposes, my account appears to be a USA address, making it possible to get an early invite to Microsoft Office Live. Having aquired the invite and the benefits that come with it, I have been at a loss as to what to use the site for.

Having put some serious thought into it, I have decided to base it on the one thing I think I can market....namely Me!

Why?

Not actually owning a business or currently being in a position to start one, I decided the only sensible product I am able to market is me and my skills. I will obviously (in the various sections of the site) add what I consider to be the relevant skills that I believe make me a valuable commodity to any business.

Banterboy.Org - Strange name for a site!

I have been told on many occasions that I seem to have a gift for "Banter" and earned the nickname "BanterBoy" for this very fact. Seems the name has stuck ever since! :-)
